On May 19, 2009, literary agent Laurie Abkemeier launched the Agent Obvious Tip of the Day on Twitter with the advice: “A query for a humor book should be humorous.” A lot of people liked the tips, so on July 29, 2010, she made them available as a free app for the iPhone. As it turns out, not everyone has an iPhone (even though they would all love it and wonder how they ever lived without it and would want to marry it). So Laurie decided to make the complete set of tips available here—tagged for easy searching, just like the app. Laurie hopes that everyone will be very happy with this arrangement.
